10w old sleeping LOTS

hello, my 10w old is sleeping lots (in the past 24 hours). He is BF and I had great trouble rousing him last night (2am) to have a feed, his previous feed was at 8.30pm. This morning, he got up at 7.30am, had a feed, was awake for 30mins then was back asleep until 11.30. He is still feeding, and is not floppy, no red marks, seems happy enough, nappy is wet at regular intervals etc - could the hot weather be making him a bit wiped out?

Could he be willing to sleep more hours at night?

My DD who is now 2, was born in the winter, so we had no warm/muggy weather to deal with, and she was/is a right little madam, and my 2nd who is a boy seems much more laid back.

p.s. his temp is ok to.

Am I worrying over nothing??

My dd2 was born in the summer, and she started to sleep through at 9wks. She was also ebf. I wouldn't worry too much. He seems a very satisfied boy. What is probably happening is, your body will produce more fore milk due to the heat, therefor, when he is hungry and when he wakes, he will be thirsty, and the first milk will quench his thirst.
My dd used to sleep 13hours some nights, and she's still a great sleeper at 13mo.
If he's happy, they'll be nothing to worry about.

It's Mother nature at her best :)

And this is a problem because??? Assuming he's putting on weight well its happy days surely.

Trying to rouse him at 2am for a feed - you nutter Grin

My DD started to sleep through the night at 10 weeks for eight or nine hour stretches which took me completely by surprise as my first child (DS) didn't sleep through until he was one. Both children were exclusively BF. If he is having plenty of wet nappies there is nothing to worry about. Warm weather can make babies sleepier. My second born was also a much more laid back baby than my first.
