Is Vitamin Water safe for children?

4 year old DS has just returned from an afternoon at the park with exP clutching an empty bottle of Vitamin Water. I thought that it was exP's and he'd just given it to DS to play with but DS tells me that he drunk the whole lot...all 500mls which is 26% of an adults daily recommended amount of sugar so probably about half of his.

Is it safe for him to drink? He's already had a children's multivitamin today.

It's very high in sugar but I'm sure it won't do him any harm.

I would think as a one off it wouldn't hurt. It takes an an awful lot of vitamins to cause toxicity, even in a child.

I've spoken to exP and apparently DS only had half a bottle of it anyway. ExP has agreed not to give it to him again so problem solved!
Thanks for the advice, I think I might have had a little PFB moment...
