Toddler passing "pellets"

DD (17 months) didn't poo for several days and now she is passing "pellety"/rabbit dropping poos.

This would suggest to me that she is dehydrated, but she has been drinking loads - water and breastmilk. Her nappies have been very heavy with urine, so maybe this isn't the problem. She also has a normal, or maybe even increased, appetite than normal.

Do I need to be concerned about the pellet poo? She isn't unwell and is very active. She only started walking properly about 2 weeks ago and now doesn't stop.

We've also had this with both kids. No idea why. Never seemed to hurt them. The pellets seemed to be a bit like the cork in a bottle- once out, a while later the floodgates would open!

Smile That's what my husband said - I'll need to be ready with plenty of nappies and wipes for when the inevitable happens! Thanks DrSeuss.
