Sun after chicken pox

Hi my son is 5 and had chicken pox a month ago..we all OK now, but some traces and scars, mainly on neck and face and tummy. hopefully most of them will disappear...but we off on holiday this Sunday to Turkey, and am very worried about the sun on the scars, even if I protect him with sun cream and hat..etc...
any good advices please? cheers

We had the same but ad to dd's covered in them, only just made flight as had to get drs letter.
The sun/sea combo worked brilliantly, we used 30 + SPF and had no issues in my opinion it really helped their skin heal.

My ds got over his 2 weeks before we recently flew to Spain.. The first few days I was worried but if anything the sun really helped clear his skin up.. I used factor 50 at first then went down to 30.
