Hi,
Just wondering-think my 2 dds might have worms (mmmm lovely)- rash on bum, unsettled at night, big sis saying her bum is itchy and then dancing about like she's in a 70s disco with a slightly broken leg.....etc.
Anyhow youngest one also at same time has developed a slightly red dry rash around her eyes.....it looks like eczema except she's never had that before (she's almost 2). Just wondering if any parents out there with experience of worms ever noticed weird facial rashes at the same time?

Ta!

Could your dcs be scratching themselves then rubbing their eyes/ faces?

Ovex is pretty good but speak with your doctor first.

Could the itchiness just be the rash? Perhaps an allergic reaction to a cream or something? Could be worms, but might be something else instead/as well.....

My dd had hundreds in her poo, have you checked hers? She's had them a few times now and knows its them! Had to do a mad dash to all night chemist at 11 pm for meds. Dh was aghast as he had been in bath with her earlier and also had to take some. Kills them overnight.

You must all take the meds anyway, not just if you've shared a bath! That may be why she has had them a few times. Not everyone has symptoms but you have to treat the whole family (usually more than once).

We have all taken it,dh thought he was exempt.

If it does turn out to be worms,I would recommend the repeat treatment. Although all the hygiene measures should be followed,(re:handwashing, not chewing nails, towels etc etc) this is the real world with real children.....need I say more Grin
