Chicken pox or insect bites?

DD2 has woken up with a gross looking spot on her shoulder, within 10 minutes of me getting her into my bed and looking again, she had 4 more, 2 more on her back and 1 under each arm.

The main spot looks VERY angry, there are blisters on all of them, but the big one looks more pussy.

I've found a couple of mossie looking critters flying around the house in the past week or so, so not sure if one got caught her in pjs last night (think that might be wishful thinking). The pox is going around her preschool and she's got a bit of a cold.

She's fine in herself, is she likely to stay that way?

Sounds like the pox to me, you can get aqueous calamine lotion from the chemists better than the normal stuff as it moisturises and stops to much scabbing. The lead spot is likely to scar though.

Thanks guys.

It's definitely pox, she's got a few more during the day and the blisters are very obvious. She's not unwell really, bit of a cold and tired but full of beans.

Thanks for the remedies, will get a friend to pick up supplies.
