Health Visitor Question

Hi
Not sure if this is the right place for this question but at what age to Health Visitors stop seeing children?

I've been getting advise about my 6yo DS with Night Terrors and was telling a friend who has a DS with sleep issues too about the wonderful Sleep Nurse in our health visiting team. She lives 1/2 mile down the road and when she range the same health visiting team was told that they don't deal with children over 5.

Very strange as they were happy to give advice, visit me 3 times and work over 8 weeks to help with night terrors, but they won't even speak to my friend about her DS.

Is this a change of policy or did she just get the 'nasty' HV?
Cheers

If they're school age I think the school nurse is the one to help.

hv normally covers up to age 5 and then there is a school nurse person who then takes over. Have never met our school nurse and dont know who she is and dd is now 8!

Where you seeing her before he turned 6? That could be the difference.
