DD (3.5) suddenly drinking and weeing lots

My DD has suddenly woken a couple of times a night for the past two nights wanting to wee and then yesterday she had an accident at nursery (during her nap, so okay I guess) and then today two nursery accidents, but both while she was just playing (having not had an accident for months).

In the hour at home this evening before bed she drank two beakers of very weak apple juice and her bedtime milk and has done 4 wees (massive and pale!).

She seems grumpy and less co-operative than usual.

This is not the first time she has had a spell like this and it seems to right itself after a couple of days. Is it worth a GP check just in case diabetes is an issue or do you reckon its just her body fighting a bug/virus?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I would get the gp or the nurse to check a wee sample. Undiagnosed diabetes is very dangerous. Hope it a simple bug

Get it checked, my daughter has diabetes and thirst and frequent weeing was a symptom. Best to rule it out as yes undiagnosed it can become dangerous very quickly.
