4m - peely head!

DD is 4m tomorrow, and she's been very healthy and happy on the whole. Yesterday I noticed she has developed thickened yellowy brown skin on the top of her head. It's not peeling yet but I can scrape it off with my fingernail (it doesn't hurt her!). She's got a lot of hair now, so it won't brush out, and the hair brush can't loosen it anyway.

She's never had cradle cap - is this it? I thought that turned up earlier?

Sounds like classic cradle cap to me. Don't pick at it or it could get infected. It should go away by itself in the end but to help it on its way you can gently rub olive oil onto her scalp and leave it overnight before brushing out.

Thanks - thought they had that younger!
