Infection under foreskin

Ds 4 appears to have an infection under his foreskin.

He was complaining about it being sore and when I took a look it is quite red and a little green and oozy.

Can I treat this at home, if so how? Or do I need to take him to the doctor.

While we are on the subject do I need to be cleaning under his foreskin regularlyBlush I cant believe I don't know the answer to this already.

take him to the docs- he may wiell need antibiotics
you don't have to do anything to boys bits, just keep them clean
if he has recurrent infections he may need a circumcision

My son had an infection when he was 11 months old. We'd just returned from holiday in Australia where it was hot and we weren't able to buy sudocreme so were using another less effective nappy cream. I think it was due to this that he got the infection. Doctor prescribed antibiotics and an antibacterial and antifungal cream called Daktacort. I would take him to see the doctor, don't leave it as it can get worse quite quickly and will be very uncomfortable for him. If you can't see your doctor today then see a pharmacist who may be able to give you a cream to help in the meantime.
