Chicken pox came out Friday, party next sat?

My DS1 came out with chicken pox Friday evening, although in hindsight had one spot thursday night but as it was on his nether regions i wasn't convinced it was.

Its his birthday next week and he's having his first proper party on sat (so 8 days from start). Tried to rearrange but soft play place is fully booked. Whats the likely hood him being scabbed up by then. Know its about a week so we're cutting it fine!

What do you think?

All three of mine were "fully crusted" after a week so there is a good chance he'll be fine.

Yes DD had to miss her dance show (spots on Monday, show on Saturday). She was actually pretty much crusty by then actually.

Of course, an awkward child won't be better til the day after the party... :o

Mine were both fine to be back at school/nursery one week after first spots. It peaked on about day 3
