2yo with threadworm - dilemma

I've just spotted that my DD has threadworm and we're due to go on a coach trip organised by her nursery tomorrow. They'll be food sharing etc. Also I've picked up the medication but not given it to her yet as pharmacist said it will give her the runs and as I thought we'd still go on the trip, i thought i'd better wait a day. But now I'm thinking it's irresponsible towards the other kids to take her (even though she's probably picked it up from one of them.) Will she start to feel the symptoms during the day because I haven't given her the meds yet? She hasn't so far - I spotted just 2 worms in her poo this evening so they haven't madly multiplied yet. She is struggling to settle at this new nursery so i was very keen to take her for a fun day with everyone. Don't know what to do!!!! What would you do?

Make sure her nails are scrubbed, assume she will have no access to her bum so she won't be able to spread them.

I've cut them as short as poss tonight. I'll bath her first thing. How likely am I to get them?
Thank you.

you shouldn't go - it is selfish.

How is it selfish FFS, it's only threadworms, pretty likely she caught from nursery. If nails are scrubbed, cut short and no access to her bum then she can't spread them.

if she has a bath in the morning and clean hands she can't spread the eggs.
if you are going on the trip as well you can make sure that she has clean hands after going to the toilet

what medication have you got? recently gave my 2yo ovex(??) and she was fine, no runs etc. my 4yo was fine too, as were dh and I.

like evryone has said, clean hands and it'll be fine.

Thank you for the comments. We did go and I gave her the treatment (ovex) when we got home and she has not bee loose at all. I have seen only five worms over 5 days and I hope the treatment has now put a stop to them. Is it normal to see so few? I had been warned that there might be hundreds. Did I catch it early maybe? I've told the nursery and they were very grateful as they believe not all parents inform them of such things. But all they can do is make sure she washes her hands well.

ovex (5mls medicine on a spoon) won't give her an upset tummy. Have you been given the sachets which can?
You can buy Ovex over the counter...but you all (whole household) will need a spoonful.
