Is this normal?

ds is 14 weeks old and woke today with a bit of a cough and sniffle. He's drinking as much milk as usual but i'm worried that he's very sleepy as the days gone on. I'm a bit reluctant to take him to the gp as i took him with a cough at 6 weeks and was made to feel like i was time wasting so i thought i would ask here if the sleepiness is normal for a baby with a cold? tia

Yes it can be.

Its a good sign he's still taking his milk. Does he have a temp? Is he alert when he is awake?

Do NOT ever feel like you're time wasting - who cares?! In 5 yrs time will you care what a doctor may or may not think or will you be glad your kid is healthy? Doctors shouldn't mind checking little ones.

He sounds ok to me, trust your instincts though. It might be worth getting some saline nasal spray if his nose is stuffy.

yes, as long as his temperature is fine, and he is not floppy, call NHS direct for reassurance,

and never never feel intimidated out of taking a baby/child to see a doctor, or A&E.
