Camera up her nose......

My DD (6rys) is an amazing little girl! On Thursday she had a hospital appointment and had to have a camera up her nose (again) and this time, she was fantastic!! The first time was last year, and she got upset (as i expected, it can't be a nice thing to go through at all) after the camera had gone up last time, she settled down and enjoyed seeing her throat on the tv monitor. This time round, she had the numbing spray put up her nostril and had chocolate to make the taste go away (chocolate is great for lots of things ;) hehe) and then when we went back in, she sat there and was as still as can be. The lady put the camera up her nose and did she move, did she cry, no!! DD said all of the sentences that she was asked to say with no problems :D So as i said before, she's an amazing little girl!!

Well done DD. She deserves lots of treats. So glad it all went well, I know you were dreading it.

When will you hear the results of the assessment, and whether she will need any surgery?

She was amazing, is amazing bless her. This is the second time she's had the camera and she's had 3 operations so far - one was last year, so she was 5 and remembers them all well. The other two were when she was 6mths and a year and a half. They told us on the day she had it done. They will be operating in August, the 20th. I sort of knew that already, but they wanted to do the camera, to confirm what they already know. Worrying a little bit as i know she remembers the operation from last year, the pain etc. But she's doing great so far, we've been talking about it and i stay very positive through it all, so that seems to be helping her stay positive too :)
