mysterious red blotchy rash on trunk and face looks like he's caught the sun on his cheeks??

Seems to flare up on his face when he is hot. He hasn't got a temp but did seem hot to touch last night. he seems absolutely fine in himself. He has just had a bath and his cheeks are bright red its like he has caught the sun any ideas????

It may be slapped cheek syndrome. nhs choices has info on this, check it out to see it it fits the picture

Sounds just like slapped cheek. My 2 had it this time last year and sounds just like you described. xx
