I have been doing some research into diet and behaviour and I think my 7 year old DS would benefit from an increase in omega 3 in his diet. The thing is, I'm kind of averse to supplements, I'd rather find the things we all need in our everyday food (not to mention the price). The other thing is, he's not too keen on fish (ok, he hates it, except tinned tuna). Any suggestions?

Try flax seed oil - mix it into dressings or sauces. Fish based omega 3 is a long chain fatty acid which I think is easier for the body to utilise, but flax seed, a short chain fatty acid can be converted by the body into long chain and give the same benefits. So it's a good addition to the diet if fish intake is low. I add it to DS food just to boost what he already eats and it contains lots of fibre, vitamins and minerals.
