Anyone recommend a waterproof cover for a full arm cast?

Hi all

My lovely 4 y.o. ds fell spectaculaly off the climbing frame and has broken his arm. He is in a full arm cast because of the break. we are off to France in 4 weeks and he will still be in the cast. I am relieved to find out that you can get waterproof covers for casts but I don't know which one to choose. Can anybody with experience of this give me some advice?

Thanks

I got a Limbo one for my leg. It worked fine for baths/showers. You can order them online.

Bin bags & rubber bands, works for many.

Thanks for the tips. I really want one he can go in a swimming pool with so it has to be waterproof, not just showerproof.

Yes, limbo waterproof protectors are the best on the Market IMO, BUT I still wouldn't risk going swimming in one. I would worry that any movement whilst wearing one may let in a bit of water.

Limbo doesn't recommend actual swimming - just splashing about.

Well it's fine completely submersed in a bath but it does say its not recommended for swimming. It has a flexible seal on it so I think some movement would be fine but I don't know if I'd risk swimming with it on holiday - could end up a big nuisance!

Who knew so many of us knew about waterproof limb protectors :o

Just an update in case anybody wants a recommendation. I ended up getting a Protectacast and it was fully water proof. DS spent all day every day in the pool and it didn't leak once. You just have to make sure you squeeze all the air out before going in the water. It saved the holiday.
