Bottom/Poo issues in 4yo DS

Hi,

for a couple of weeks (on and off) DS1 has had a few ishoos with his bottom after doing a poo.

He usually goes in the afternoon but recently there have been a few occassions when, say, half an hour after his poo his bottom will start feeling uncomfortable. Sometimes when I have checked him there is a litlle bit of loose, slightly jelly-like poo (this is fresh poo, not where he hasn't be cleaned properly). However, when I clean him up he is still 'at' his bottom for a while after, saying that it needs to be wiped (if I use a wet wipe he still complains, it has to be a dry wipe).

I asked him today if it felt itchy and he said no, just pooey, but it is definately clean!

I wondered about worms but have looked and cant see anything, and the loose poo makes me wonder of it is more to do with irritable bowels. Also, as I said it has been happening on and off for a couple of weeks but so far hasn't seemed to get worse.

Sorry if tmi, just wondered if anyone had any experience?
