Sorry for the thread title! In the last few days, I've notcied that DD (4 in July) has slightly creamy/greenish stains on her pants at the end of the day (it's not skidmarks!). She also seems to be itching a bit. Any experience of this? I am wondering if it might be thrush?

I have noticed this with DD (almost 5) as well. In fact I did a mumsnet search on it the other night and realised it seems to be ... well not uncommon. With DD it seems to occur when she is run down (she has frequent colds) and sure enough she started a snotty nose a couple of days ago and then yesterday we had the discharge and she said she was a bit itchy and sore.

I posted about this previously and posters bascially said probably thrush and some suggested a weaker dose Canesten (1% I think). Prob with me is I am abroad, spoke to DD's doc about it and and he was very evasive and not bothered about it.

I put nappy cream on her last night and that seemed to help. I also wash her with water not soap or shower gel and try to get her to shower, not sit around in bath water. I am also giving her actimel type drinks which I know are a bit shit really but I can't get her to take natural probiotic yoghurt which I feel might help things a bit more.

It does prey on my mind a bit that it is so recurrent. And obviously I was also intially worrying that this was some sign of impending puberty, which I now think it isn't. But I would like to get it cleared up properly but not sure how. Anyway hope this helps you a bit.
