Hi my son is 5 1/2 and still has cradle cap. Is this normal? I must admit I don't shampoo his hair that often maybe once a week as he is not keen. The rest of the time he just has a rinse.

my ds suffered badly from this up until about a year ago (he is now 8 y/o) (and he also suffers from eczema). i find it worse in wet bad weather. in sunny weather or on hols abroad it is much better. i find using vosene or t-gel shampoo helps, also polytar and similar shampoos helped. it has now improved a lot but he now suffers from dandruff if i dont use particular shampoos. are you rinsing with water in the bath or fresh water? make sure its fresh water as the bath water will have bubble bath and soap residue in it which doesnt help.
