she is 18 mo and since just before her 1st birthday she has had one illness after another.

started with a cold/flu type thing, that lasted 2 weeks, then tonsillitis, then ear infection.

since then she has had at least one of the above, usually more than one.

since Jan she has had 5 courses of antibiotics and has gone through countless bottles of calpol.

again today she has a runny nose, temp is 40 and calpol/nurofen doesnt seem to be touching it.

she eats well, has a good diet and we have been giving her additional vits for 4-5 months now.

what else can we do for her?

Is she at nursery? If so, could you switch to a childminder? A good probiotic every day seems to help my ds ward off bugs.

No nursery, she goes with Mil a few hours a week when our jobs overlap.

I hadn't thought about a probiotic. will have to take a look.

I don't know that there's anything else you can do unfortunately but trust me, I feel your pain. Ds was like this from Aug - Dec last year and then dd took over from Jan to now.

I'd be worried about a temp of 40 that isn't responding to calpol or nurofen though.

Temp is 38 now. Took a long time to get it down.

She did the typical dd thing of being really ill and listless until the moment we got to the Drs. Then she was full of the joys and kept everyone entertained by dancing and offering kisses Hmm

Dr can't see anything really wrong with her. Just a viral thing as always.

Stop milk, only probiotic yog, cheese and butter.
