Swelling/Lump under 2 year olds arm.

Hello,

We noticed after his bath last night that my 2 year old son had a massive swelling under his arm. We took him up to the Sick Kids hospital and he was seen and given some medicine to control the swelling in his lymph glands, and we have to take him back tomorrow morning.

He has only recently recovered from Chicken Pox (within the last week) and perhaps had been overdoing it in the sunshine over the weekend.

I was wondering if anyone had any similar experience after Chicken Pox or in general with this type of ailment.

Thanks,

MP.

My DS (now 5) had to have loads of blood tests etc for swollen lymph glands in neck, armpit and groin. All came back ok and Drs have told us not to worry as he is generally healthy and growing and eating well. We were told that it's common but they check/monitor as a precaution..DS still has swollen lymph glands in his neck but is otherwise healthy.

Fingers crossed all will be ok with you and your DS.
