poor ds2 is really ill.....wwyd?

....we are supposed to be going on a trip next week (France for 4 days)

Am taking him to the walk in centre at 8am as he has been up most of the night coughing with a very high temp (39.4)

He has had a cough and cold for a week now and its getting worse.

If it is a chest infection and he needs antibiotics then I think we will need to cancel the trip (will not lose any money) Ds1 will be upset (obv) but AIBU not wanting to take a sick child on a long car trip/euro tunnel and long car trip the other side??? He normally gets diahorrea on ABs so a 4 hour car journey is not ideal

When are you supposed to be going? First thing Monday or later in the week?

Its not til weds bumbley but after seeing emergency doc we have decided to cancel...he has got an ear infection and a chest infection The ABs will give him diahorrea (they always do sadly) and we may end up back at GPs anyway on monday as he is very wheezy.
