Dd (3) being sick on morning car trips

Dd is frequently sick during the 3 mile school run. We have stopped giving milk in the mornings to see if this was the cause but it's still happening 2/3 times a week. She only does it in the mornings never when travelling at other times. Anyone been through a similar experience who can offer advice? I'm sick of cleaning up vomit!

Can your child seat go in the front? That helped us for sure.

I agree with MrsMoo. Also, some children get very car sick after drinking acidic drinks like orange juice. IME, these types of drinks are more likely to cause sickness than milk.

Don't get me started on cheese strings......I will NEVER forget the regurgitated stringy mess as long as I live. Cars and cheese are a HUGE no no .......

I'm not convinced it's purely travel sickness as she can also be sick when we're at home but once again just in the morning. She had bad reflux as a baby so think she has a weak stomach. Would a dr prescribe gaviscon or something similar? She's starting nursery in September and I'm worried she'll be sick at school and get sent home frequently. Do schools have to send kids home when they're sick? Especially if I explain the situation?

twin, I would go to GP with this. Has she had any other symptoms recently - headaches, clumsiness, visual disturbances? These could help build a bigger picture. Has the morning vomiting been increasing in frequency?

It could be something easily resolved, like reflux and better to get it sorted sooner rather than later.
