What is Chicken pox like in 3mth old?

My best friend is getting married this coming Saturday and her DD has just come down with cp and is really poorly. (spots came out this w/end). My DD1 who's 4 has already had it, but my DD2 at 3mths old hasn't. (I had it as a child and I'm EBF). I'm not overly fussed about cp in general but what are the implications for such a small baby? I've heard they can get it again - is this true? Could this be worse for DD2? Any advice? My bf has given us an escape clause to the wedding and I genuinely don't know what to do. I know it's another 6 days so her DD could have 'scabbed' over. Damn, I hate being so precious but don't want DD2 to risk multiple episodes!

My DC1 had it at 4mo. TBH, it was fine. We just stuck some mittens on her and carried on. She didn't get too many spots and didn't scratch them, so has a couple of tiny scars only.

We haven't had her tested for immunity, but she is now nearly 4yo, goes to nursery, has been exposed to Chickenpox numerous times and still not caught it again. All of her closest friends have since had it and still nothing.

Of course she could have got it worse, but I would say to go to the wedding (unless you are looking for an excuse!), I think your friend's DD won't be contagious by then. But don't actively put your baby near her. Or do you have the option to have a trusted relative come to the wedding venue, but lurk outside with your baby and you pop out and bf her as needed?

I don't believe the bf-immunity thing BTW. I was bf'ing DD and she still caught it, although the health visitors told me it was "impossible" Hmm.

I'm pretty sure we'll be going to the wedding (my bf was really generous to give the escape clause). It's another 6 days and my DD1 will be closer to 4mths than 3mths old. Just read plenty about it and from what I can gather its newborns (
