Is this true? and more importantly does it get rid of it?

Any other suggestions welcome.

DS's cradle cap cleared up when I started cutting his hair shorter and washing more regularly. Olive oil etc did nothing. I think it just needed airing iyswim Grin

H&S is brilliant. It was the only thing that worked on my 2 and they both had it until oldish (eldest still had it when started school) One or two goes with H&S and it was gone forever with both of them. Have never had to use it since. All the usual recommendations were tried and didn't touch it. Everything is "chemical".

mandoo my gp adviced against using baby oil and to use olive oil as baby oil does not absorbe so well into skin and so creats a barrier that then builds up, so although it helps lift what is there at the time it willt will make cp worse in the long run.

Ok, 5 year old DS had CC, has completely gone (about a year ago), 3.5 year old DD has CC, almost gone- treating at moment.

What works is- and this isn't really for tiny babies, personally I wouldn't bother doing anything with tiny babies CC, but then if you don't I guess you end up with DC with it like I did Grin.

sorry, what works is- Day 1 massage in olive oil, leave overnight, day 2, wash off with tiny bit of yes, Head and Shoulders shampoo-just tiny bit, actually you can use any shampoo but H and S has worked for us. After washing comb hair with metal nit type comb. Then leave for one or two or three days, then repeat- ie olive oil one night, shampoo the next.

Good luck!

Used lots of different shampoos and oils but the cradle cap cream (and brushing a wee bit hard, but ds thinks its funny!) has been the best for us.
