midwife did say the name of condition when DD was born 10 days ago, but I didn't really take it in. It's written in her health care booklet, but I can't read the doctors handwriting!
Forgot to ask again today, and won't see anyone again until the end of next week.

Basically, her lower legs bow in slightly, which angles her feet inwards. It looks like it starts Ery 2nd word starts Toxic ( it's like a cryptic crossword!)
Any ideas? ( I've tried google, no help!)

Sure it'snot related to a rash she has - erythema toxicum?

The legs bowing in slightly sounds like talipes

Pascha · 19/05/2012 20:25

Talipes equinovarus is lower leg or foot turning inwards.

No skin is fine all over, so no rash.
It says these two words then of legs. No other issues at all.

It'll be talipes I would have thought. Dd had that. Walked at 10m, no issues.

Ditto with my DS and talipes btw

Does it say positional or congenital before it? My son had positional talipes and he walks fine, it gradually straightened over the first few months. His was due to his position in the uterus.

Doesn't say if congenital or positional. Just had a quick google & it does sound like talpes.
Thanks to all for in put & re assurance.
Think doctor has written wrong info in book, also noted in places has the wrong date of birth! Will take it up with HV next week
