she hasn't yet started her period--should I be worried?
also, all the above symptoms not all necessarily at the same time but have been going on for a couple of weeks.Could she be anaemic?

Has she seen her GP ?? I'd be looking at blood tests for her if it were me, Glandular Fever springs to mind.

Though I'm dealing with similar here, all down to the changeable weather & air pressure aggravating my migraine problem - I started with migraine when the hormones kicked in, so that might be something else to consider IF its in your family

hope she's better soon

good luck

thankyou Rockinhippy.Actually, almost a year ago,she was diagnosed with Glandular Fever but it appeared to clear up after a few weeks-although,I was warned that it can flare up at any time.Yes,there is also a family-history of migraine...although,mine is the type which doesn't necessarily come with the actual headache (!?!) but I get zig-zag patterns infront of my eyes and go temporarily blind in one part of my eye!!

Sounds like a GP trip would be a good idea then

I also don't get the full blown unable to function headache with my migraine anymore, just fleeting bouts of it lasting a minute or so & a more ordinary type of headache the rest of the time, but I do get lots of other odd symptoms including aura, light sensitivity, nausea, numbness, burning & pins & needles stomach pain & fluid retention & cramp, my face puffs up too & I get mouth ulcers

I've had proper lock yourself in a dark room splitting migraine since my teens, but it changed to this after DD was born - I didn't realise this was still migraine, even had MRI scans, but seeing a Migraine Nurologist confirmed this is still migraine - I do know from her website (migraine.org) that DCs are more prone to it manifesting as stomach pain, so if you get it too, it still could be a possibility, especially if she suddenly improves after a big storm - I'm sat here praying for torrential rain Grin

Definitely GP. Hope you find the cause soon and start getting treatment, poor honey.
