Exposure to chicken pox

Hi everyone
I've just had a call from a friend who's little one has chicken pox, we were with them two days ago (when he was at his most contagious) so she wanted me to know.
Does anyone know if my 10 month old DD will definitely get it - they shared a beaker by mistake and he was sneezing next to her. The reason I ask is we're meant to be leaving our DD with my parents for the first time this weekend so we can have a weekend together and I'm now worried about whether she'll get it and I won't be there.
Any thoughts/advice much appreciated.
Thanks xx

if they shared a beaker and had touch contact it is very likely, I think you have 2 weeks incubation period before they come out though

if your dd has caught it she still has a 10-21 day incubation period before she starts to show symptoms. There is no guarantee she will get it though

Yes, there's quite a long incubation period so it wouldn't come out this weekend.

She might catch it, she might not. My ds (4) and dd (9m) spent an entire day with my godson, shared drinks, ate off the same plate, hugged etc and he came out in cpox the next day. Neither of my two caught it.
