Hi, help needed please. I have one child, a ds who is 19mo. He has always been really healthy, just a bout of pharyngitis and and a few colds up to now. Yesterday, he was irritable all day and then at around 4pm had some very frequent episodes of watery (sorry if tmi!!) diarrhoea. Seemed happy enough in himself though. Had a disturbed night, slept ok but very restless, tossing and turning and moaning in his sleep. Hasn't eaten a thing all day, very quiet, and had 2 normal poo's. I put him to bed as usual, and half hr later he woke, very distressed and sweaty, although hasn't got a temp. He is asleep again now in my bed, but is sleeping fitfully.

What is this? Does it sound like a virus, or more like he is coming down with something worse? He is usually so energetic and happy, I hate seeing him like this :(

It'll be a bug. Monitor his temp and give him calpol. Take him to docs tomorrow.
