Antibiotics on an empty stomach - but what child has an empty stomach four times a day

Dd (17 months) has to have penicillin v four times a day on an empty stomach - an hour before food or two hours after. Milk counts as food.

It's impossible. She wakes up at 6 and wants milk immediately and will scream for an hour if I give medicine then wait for the whole hour. Then breakfast at 7.30 to get to nursery at 8.30 where they have a snack at 10, lunch at 12, tea at 3.30 and a snack at 5. And she has milk at 7 before bed.

It's impossible right?

Yes, it's impossible. Try to give at least half an hour away from food so 6.30, 10.30, 2.30, 6.30 perhaps? Good luck!
