think DD has a UTI - what can I do?

Sore, red vagina
Not weeing - though there doesn't seem to be a reluctance, but she refused to have a wee before bed last night, and then was up 4 or 5 times saying she needed a wee, but nothing
She's had this a few times in the last couple of months (but never so noticably the lack of wee thing)
She has a docs appointment and I'm giving her lots of drinks. Only other thought is when they started probably coincides with about the time we changed their bath wash stuff, so I won't use that again.
Is there anything I should/shouldn't be doing? She's going in a plain bath soon

Maybe it's sore to wee because of her vagina being sore rather than a UTI IYSWIM? Try to get her to wee in the bath, it won't sting as much.

Yes, just looked up UTIs and actually it doesn't seem right
She doesn't say it's sore to wee though, and she doesn't seem reluctant to go, it's just as though she doesn't need to

If it's a UTI then drinking cranberry juice helps. Dd2 has a tendency, and hates the stuff, but if she's got a UTI coming she drinks it constantly as she knows it's better than the alternative

The saying she needs to go and not actually going is very typical of dd2 when she's got one coming though.
Can you get a wee sample to take to the doctors-they can test it then and there.

What is going on, she is weing and pooing during Tje day but spending the night's in floods of tears strugglkng to do both. She now seems to be constipated,but had a poo yesterday evening. This has been going on for 3 nights now, not normal.

Have you checked her bottom for worms also? Just thinking what with it worst at night time.
