Do "Steri strips" just fall off ?

DS cut his head last week and it was glued at A&E, they then put Steri strips over it a bit like this # . Just wonder if they will fall off on their own or if we need to take him to see a doctor about them?

TIA

Some do, some don't

The ones that don't you can just peel off it won't hurt.

Usually they say to keep them dry for 5-7 days, once they start to get wet they usually peel off, but don't pull them. You could ring hospital/ dr to check. Dd's came off a few at a time over a couple of days.

It must of been because of where mine were, the practice nurse left them on but the nurse in A&E peeled them off because they were rolling up into little tubes and causing discomfort. Urgh.

He has them on his forehead.

Did they put the glue on first then the steri strips or the other way round? IME if they glue first you can peel the steri strips off, if they glue second you have to wait for them to come off or wound will open back up. I only have one DD, but she is a one girl whirl wind leading to large amounts of minor injuries.

I think they put the glue on first then the steri strips. They put a dressing over that but we have taken off the dressing now.
