12 Month Vaccinations

I wonder if anyone can advise me with regard to the 12 month vaccinations. My GP surgery have categorically stated that they cannot give these prior to my DS first birthday (end of May), but then have no-one available to give them until the end of July! He is due to start nursery next week and I am worried that he really ought to have them as soon as possible. Is there an optimum window within which these jabs should be given?

A friends ds has just had his. He was 1 in feb. but due to viruses and chicken pox he's been too poorly then had to wait till there was an appointment.
Don't know what the window is but gp didn't seem worried from what friend said.
HTH. :)
