6yo fainted in school, Why?

6yo DS fainted in school today. he was playing one minute and the next was on the ground in the dirt.

teacher who saw it thought his leg was twitching as he came round. don't know if this means anything.

he has no health problems but perhaps has seemed a bit scattered the last few days. he is fine now, watching telly, has eaten. He doesn't remember anything and doesn't want to talk about it.

have made doctors appt for tomorrow morning, but does anyone have any experience?

I was an occasional fainter as a child. Is he getting enough to eat ? Low blood sugar and sickness or stress did it to me.

you have to find out why? there could be many reasons.
dehydration and low sugar the most obvious ones.

mm, yes very possible he is dehydrated. didn't know this could be a factor. he doesn't drink unless nagged and constantly forgets at school, despite water bottles, water fountains etc. he is an occasional bedwetter and we think this is linked to small bladder/not enough fluids.

quite possible he was hungry too.

Fainting seems a bit extreme though? really quite worried.
