Red cheeks but not feeling ill?

My DS is 5 and over the weekend his cheeks have been very rosey. They are still like that today. He hasn't said that he feels unwell and when I've asked if his cheeks are sore, he says 'no'. I know there is a virus(?) called slapped cheek and believe that anyone with this should avoid pregnant women....there are a few pregnant mums at school....so should I be concerned and take DS to the docs?
