sudden bedwetting and dont know why

I am a bit worried, my 6 year old daughter who has never in her life wet the bed has done it twice in one week and wet herself once while awake, she doesnt know why and i dont want to worry her about it ,
also she is very irritable, she does have a cold at the moment but she seems so down and im really worried, obviosly me being obseessive googled and it came up with diabeties, so im taking her to the doctors later , does anyone have any experience of this? im just so sad for her, shes had a rough year with athma and a minor op but even if itsjust bed wetting it is just something else she has been delt and seems so unfair.

Get her checked out. Ds did this and he had an infection of the foreskin. She may have a uti or thrush or worms even, alll can cause sudden bedwetting.

The Gp said when I took ds that sudden bedwetting rarely happens for no reason and should always be checked. He didn't mention diabeties as a possible reason. I think that would proabably be because diabeties causes excess thirst-hence drinking more, so you'd probably have noticed.
