DD has chicken pox, party tomorrow

I know she can't go but I actually want to cry. It's her cousin's party tomorrow, in a soft play place, and DD has been looking forward to it every day for the 3 weeks since we got the invitation, wakes up every morning asking whether it's today. Just found spots. She's going to be absolutely heartbroken

I don't actually have a question, just needed to vent :(

I thought this was going to be a thread about a chicken pox party!
Just got over dd2 having it and now dd3 has erupted here, such fun.
Sorry your dd will miss the party, maybe you could do something special for her at home x

Rubbish, isn't it. We're on the tail end of dd1 having it, fully expecting dd2 to get it in the next couple of weeks. Can you arrange something lovely for her and her cousin when she is better?

DitaVonCheese · 06/05/2012 10:31

Ha Pumpster I hadn't thought of that. I thought people might come on and vociferously tell me not to take her and make me feel better about her not going.

Chaos cousin has had it so trying to arrange to meet at granny's later for present and cake :)

DD has actually taken it surprisingly well so far - told her last night and so far today she hasn't mentioned it ...

This has just happened to dd2. We had a mini party at home with pass the parcel and musical statues plus party bag for her, and invited dd1 and all the most important soft toys. It seemed to do the trick.

:) I think we may well end up doing that!
