What strength Seretide is your dc on?

My dd just turned 6. She has been on Seretide for months now and it has helped a lot.

I was just giving it to her as prescribed but recently when I opened a new pack I read all the information and the one she is on is listed for older children.

We are seeing the paed in 2 weeks and I can't decide whether to wait til then or go to the GP.

The paed (as far as I remember) wrote to the GP to prescribe the Seretide when she wasn't well controlled on Becotide.

If she was already on Becotide would they have prescribed a stronger Seretide if the Becotide wasn't working?

I am worried but then I think surely between Paed, GP and pharmacist someone would have noticed it was wrong.

Thanks alibobins. That is the one dd is on as well. I'll be discussing her treatment with the Paed soon anyway but this has put my mind at ease a bit til then.

DS1 is 5 and is on Seratide 125 ,but 1 puff am and pm. DS2, 3, has just started on Seratide 50. My GP always tells us never to read the leaflets!

DS1 has just turned 4 and for the last 9 months has been on Seretide 125, 2 puffs am and pm. A pharmacist took DH aside once saying she was worried as it is a massive dose for a 3 year old. I freaked out and phoned our consultant who calmed me down explaining it was better than the massive amounts of oral steroids every time he is ill.
