Hopeing someone out there has any advice Confused
5 weeks ago my DD got what looked like a tummy bug for 48 hours with both toilet and sickness that was the start of the Easter holidays over the holidays she spent most days being sick at least once a day with only a couple of days with no sicknes this has now carried on and as you can imaging she has lost weight (9lbs a lot for a little girl) she is very pale and lethargic and missing school and all her friends so much (she has managed 3 half days) she explains how her tummy feels by saying it's wobbly with a bit of pain and a few headaches and a few high temps... bloods have been fianlly taken but the consultant seems baffeled and i feel like i am watching my DD dissapear in front of me!!!!

Hi,

I suspect that if the consultant is baffled, the MN posters are unlikely to solve the problem! I think the best advice is to keep on at them to keep testing until they get an answer, and not to see what happens. And, if you are not satisfied, demand a second opinion from a paediatrician.

Is she jaundiced at all? That kind of nausea could be some kind of hepatitis. Or, alternatively, some food poisoning could have a long term effect. Or a parasite of some kind? There are just so many possibilites.

As you say 9lbs is an awful lot and she clearly is unwell and what is the matter needs to be found out with some urgency.
