Does he have asthma? My DS2 had bronchiolitis when he was 1, and was what they called a "happy wheezer", he had to have a chest x-ray to make sure his lungs etc where functioning ok (I think, lack of medical knowledge emoticon!!).

He doesn't have asthma, but he did have bronchiolitis when he was smaller, could that have triggered this. He was about 7 months old when he had it.

when ds was little he had a long standing cough, and eventually he had a chest xray to check for anything stuck in his lung. Turned out he'd managed to collapse a bit of lung and needed physio, long antibs, and inhalers, but it did eventually clear

Oh your poor DS!

Mine is asleep at the mo! (bliss! Grin) as soon as we got to the docs today she said she could hear how congested he was from across the room.

He's such a happy little boy, I am dreading his X-ray because his brother used to go into fits over them. (leg issues)

DS found them very easy tbh - he had a few betwenn 9 months and 18 months. No awkward positioning or anything

DS2 was fine with his too, it's done very quickly and obviously they can't feel anything. I can't remember if he had to lie down or sit upright but he is a major fidgeter and I don't remember any problems.

Thanks everyone! I'm sure it'll be fine and I just need I man up. I'm really not a panicker but when it's about the children I do over think stuff.

It is probably just to look for an infection. Ds has had loads of them when ill and is due one soon to check that his healthy is normal.

Just to update, the X-ray is clear, do that's great news. It didn't go well but the staff got the picture.

Poor DS was ever so poorly Friday so back to the docs, again. Doctor suspects its his tonsils causing problems but DS is terrified of the doctors so wouldn't play ball at all, we are doing the brugen/calpol thing to keep his temperature under control and he's off but much better.

The investigation will continue.
