Hi!
Just recently my son has been having very runny poo. Apologies for the rest of this post but I'm going to go in very detailed descriptions!

Right... He's had very mucus-y, almost snot like poo. Green poo, normal consistancy. Green poo that was almost luminous! Very runny, watery poo that normal colour but it bubbled out of his bottom one day whilst changing him!! Mad! I'm at my wits end and everyone is telling me he's fine as he's alert and interacting with me/the world. He's sleeping more at the moment but I think this may be to do with his (usually chronic) wind being easier to pass so he's not disturbed by it as much.

I've sent a sample of his poo to be tested. Dr didn't seem worried by my descriptions but organised the test nonetheless.

I use colief most feeds. Oh, he's exclusive breastfed by the way. Used gripe water for wind up until recently too but stopped to rule out that being the cause of all this (doesn't appear to be). I also started with my vitamin supplement again last week after taking some crummy free ones from the HV. It's meant for conception/pregnancy/breastfeeding so I know it's suitable.

Everyone says to trust my instincts but in the same breath tells me not to worry! Any light that anyone can shed on this would be so gratefully received!

Thank you! :)

Just watch you are eating a green poo can mean an upset stomach. When I breastfed if I ate too much fruit my daughters poo would be bright green and runny.

Could be teething poo. They were very green and swamp like Grin

Ah thank you both. I think I may've been indulgingng in too many sweets due to being stupidly tired and wanting a quick energy shot. Changed to more healthy and appropriate snacks now and it's calmed down a bit. Results back tomorrow so fingers crossed. X
