Hi all,
My 6 yr old collapsed at school and by the time I reached there(10 mins),the paramedics were there. He had a convulsion with very high temperature and later taken to A & E for checkup. He was discharged the same day and recovered in couple of days nothing serious. But I feel I should thank the school get some choclates..This happened before easter and now he is back to school. Is it too late now?any suggestions?

It's never too late to do the right thing!

That would be lovely, I am sure they would really appreciate that. I performed abdominal thrusts to stop a child from cloaking before Easter (they had turned purple, couldn't breathe, needed a paramedic who said I had done the right stuff- parents were uncontactable), and I was shaking like a leaf afterwards. I needed a strong cup of tea. I am still waiting for the child's carers to say thank you or even mention it!

Sorry, the child was choking, not cloaking! It's been a long day!

im sure it would be lovely for the school if you showed how much you appreciated what they had done, cant go wrong with choccys :)

My son was very sick ( migraine) on a PGL holiday just before Easter, headteacher had to clear it up and look after him through the night and next morning.

Today i took in a bunch of flowers and a thank-you card for her ( had said thanks to her when they came back from trip)

It is never too late to say thank-you and a hand written card as well will go down well with the choccys.

Glad your child is OK now.
