DS (8mo) Throat infection?!

Anyone got any ideas how I can check my ds's throat for bumps etc? I have got a throat infection along with swollen glands and I'm keen to see if ds has any symptoms too? I'm happy to take him to gp (if i can get an appointment this side of the next millennium?!) but want to have a look myself, however he refuses to open his mouth for me. He is quite happy in the day...as am I, if a little tired....but he is really unsettled at night....wondering if this may be why. Any suggestions? I know that before I was diagnosed I sucked his dummy before putting it back in his mouth and tasted his food before giving it to him too etc...so I may well have inadvertently given him it too! :-((((

If he doesn't have a fever and is swallowing ok then I think its unlikely. Are hi glands up? Neck/ groin?

Both my kids got new teeth at 8mo - coiuld that be a factor at night?

Thanks life. That's what I thought but I was going to try and take a peek anyway...but never mind. He's definitely cutting new teeth....3 on his top gum all at once!SadSad No fever and seems to be swallowing ok (and screaming!!). Must just be his teeth then?! I'll have to just keep playing along with him for now and hope his teeth all come quickly.Smile
