Ds1 has got an eye infection I think

Ds1 had an eye infection in January. It cleared up then a few weeks ago he got a lump on his top lid. Took him to the nurse who said it was nothing to worry about.
Now he has got discharge from the bottom lid and the doctor has no appointments until next week.
I can't clean the discharge off As its set like a rock. He says it's not sore but it looks awful.
Made the mistake of googling eye infections.
If I take him to the chemist after school will they be able to help? I can't leave him for a week to get to the doctor

You need to be a bit stronger with the GP receptionist I'm afraid and get an appointment asap.

If necessary go to the surgery with your child in tow and say you want an appointment sooner than next week .

A chemist may be able to help you however.

Been to chemist and have got wipes to clean it. Will take him into the doctors tomorrow and we will wait until he can be seen
