Body odor 9 year old boy

Hello, yesterday I noticed a strong smell of body odor coming and was shocked to think hat it would be coming from my nearly 11 ds1, however it was coming from ds2 who is only 9! Is this normal? It's the first time that I noticed it and the smell is soo strong. Has anyone had experience of this?

Had he been playing sports/not washed in a while?

I wouldn't get bothered about it. Buy him some good deodorant and hideous matching shower gel and point him in the direction of the shower every morning.
