Dd2 (nearly 2.5 now) has looked as though one of her teeth was 'coming through funny' for a while, took her to the dentist yesterday and he's confirmed it is an extra tooth. He's doing a referral to the dental hospital but this will probably take more than 2 months and I'm just wondering what happens with this, and whether anyone has any experience? He didn't say they would definitely have to take it out- can't imagine a 2 year old being very happy with having teeth out tbh so a bit worried about that.
She started getting teeth late (none until 13mo) and has also been slow at growing generally, and was a bit late walking (17mo, so not late enough to be of medical concern but seemed slow), but apart from that is fine, though have been scaring myself with google stories of disorders with extra teeth as a symptom so any anecdotes about similar things not being at all important might help.
