Glitter in DD's eye

I'm afraid as NHS direct is crazy busy and this isn't life or death I'm asking for opinions on here before calling them back or dashing to OOH.

DD2 has just got some glitter in her eye, it's the big flaky stuff rather than the sand like stuff. Does that make sense? As far as I can see it's only one piece but I,m not sure what to do. I have tried eye drops in the hope that they would help flush it out but that hasn't worked.

I'm just concerned that glitter will be scratchy and could cause damage butreyes care isn't really my specialism. I don't want to try and fish it out in case It could damage her eye but will if anybody has better ideas! She has stopped crying so guess it doesn't hurt much now.

Do you have cotton buds at home? You could try to gently remove it with a cotton bud.
Otherwise yes to should go to a GP to have it removed
