Hi ds2 is 5 in June. 2 weeks ago he was off school for 2 days complaining of feeling sick, but he was never actually sick. Last night and again this afternoon he has been crying because his cheek hurts. I have looked in his mouth but can't see anything obviously wrong. He woke up this morning ok and we went out for the day with no problems, however he has starting crying again saying it hurts and occasionally complaining about his tummy. I have given him calpol and he seems better. Do you think he could be teething?

His 6 year old molars could be coming through. I remember DS complaining his mouth was hurting at a similar age and just telling him he was fine etc and a few weeks later discovering 4 new teeth. Felt rather bad. So when DD had similar a couple of years later I was rather more sympathetic :)
