Reflux

What age did your dc grow out of their reflux? My Ds is 6 1/2 months and his paediatrician said he should have out grown it by now. If he's still vomiting at 9 months she wants to do a scan to see what's going on. I'm just fed up of being covered in puke....

Has he been checked for milk allegy? I didn't realise my dd had it til she was still being sick at the same age.

Not for allergy but he is lactose intolerant and on nutramigen instead of regular formula. Til we started the nutramigen he was screaming in pain but now he's sick without it bothering him at all -just me and the washing machine! He's sick after solids too...

my little one was misdiagnosed with reflux, turned out to be an allergic condition called eosinophilic eosophagitis ( general paeds dont know much about it, as it used to be very rare but its more common now) diagnosed by biopsies of the GI tract.

fine now once we got sorted out with food testing etc

Submarine -oo'er just googles that... Was your Ds in pain? My Ds is clearly not in pain nowadays -just pukes all the time...

Mine are still prone to reflux and are 10 and 11 (years) but in terms of when the vomiting calmed down a bit, I would say when they walked (paediatrician said this is quite common as they are upright more and their tummy muscles stronger)

DS has had awful reflux that recently seemed to disappear almost over night - coincided with when he started walking.

My DTs were sick after every milk feed (breastfed), and after solid meals too when we weaned. They stopped at about 7 months - I remember being surprised when I hung out a wash with no muslins!
